Next AACII Meeting:

  • March meeting on Thursday, 3/9 is rescheduled for Thursday, 3/23 from 2-4pm.
  • OSATT will be presenting a skit for the 3/23 meeting.

Annual Breakfast Planning:

  • Topic is "New Hybrid Work Environment."
  • Event will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 9-11AM. 
  • 9-9:30AM will be breakfast and networkiing.  9:30-11AM will be the main event.
  • Invitees are AOs/AO Equivalents, FOs/FO Equivalents, Assistant Deans, AACII Members and HR.
  • Since a hybrid meeting have some attendees and AACII members in person in room and some attendees and AACII members on Zoom.
  • Need a person to set up breakout rooms and assignments in advance.  Manage the Zoom room to address questions, issues or provide updates.
  • Discussed 2 formats, option 1 is to have 2 panels:  Central Office and DLC perspectives.  Keep panel small i.e. 4-5 panelists.
  • Ask Ronnie Haas or Scott Rolph to be a moderator for the panels.
  • Central Office panelists speak about topics regarding remote work culture, shared work spaces and Zoom rooms on campus, social and wellness, best practices for an effective hybrid work model and share a hybrid work experience or business process.
  • DLC panelists speal about topics regarding creative ways of sharing workspaces, creative ways of creating more space in your area i.e. office renovations, share your hoteling model, how to encourage collaborative in person work i.e. working in labs and share best practices.
  • Michelle Carmichael, AO in Music and Theater Arts was suggested as a DLC panelist.  Also, it was suggested to ask Mary Ellen Sinkus for a speaker to represent SoE on the DLC panel.
  • Option 2 is no panel.  Offer 3-4 topics with discussions lead by speakers.  Have attendees choose which topics they want to discuss.  Attendees move from tables or rooms in 2 rotations.  
  • Need to decide on an event format.  Jack and Olympia will further discuss, then update Robin and Elizabeth for their input.

Event Subcommittees:

  • There are 3 subcommittees: Agenda, Marketing and Logistics.
  • Each subcommittee has tasks assigned.
  • AACII members will need to join a subcommittee. 
  • AACII members can join multiple subcommittees.  
  • Subcommittee spreadsheet is maintained in the AACII AO Breakfast 2023 Dropbox folder.
